  • How long would it take to obtain employment through Techforce?

    Techforce works with a number of different clients who have varying recruitment processes. Typically, we see a process of one to three weeks plus the visa processing time.

  • Can I move to Australia without a job?

    For most visitors to Australia, a visa will be required to visit Australia. Whilst here you can apply for roles.

  • What is a 482 Visa?

    A 482 visa is a temporary visa which enables an employer in Australia to sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position where they can’t find a suitably skilled Australian to fill. Typically, they are up to two or four years in length.

  • What is a 189 Visa?

    A 189 Visa is a skilled independent Visa for permanent residency in Australia. The 189 Visa is granted based on an individuals skills and qualifications.

  • What is the difference between the 189 and 190 Visas?

    The 189 Visa is independent and doesn’t require a sponsorship requirement, while the 190 Visa requires state or territory nomination. Both types of Visa’s can lead to permanent residency.

  • How do I get a 190 Visa in Australia?

    In order to get a 190 visa within Australia, you will need to be nominated by an Australian state or territory based upon your skills and job. 

  • Would I need to redo my driver's licence when I get to Australia?

    Generally, you can use your overseas licence when in Australia temporarily, however, it is recommended to check the state-specific requirements and timelines associated with this. 

  • Are medical costs fully covered by the Australian government?

    Medical costs are not covered by the Australian government. Private health insurance is a consideration for comprehensive medical coverage. 

  • Do I need to apply for a Tax File Number (TFN)? estion

    Yes, you will need to apply for a Tax File Number (TFN) when you arrive in Australia to ensure you’re taxed properly when working.
