We are looking for Sandblasters & Spray Painters
for a local based role in Forrestfield you will be primarily responsible for spray painting and sand blasting trailers and other equipment in a timely, safe and high-quality manner.
The main duties of a sandblaster/painter include:
- Sand blasting to specification.
- Able to follow paint specifications and documentation.
- Examining surfaces to be treated.
- Preparing and mixing paints and any other substances to be applied.
- Checking the finished item.
- Able to follow safety procedures and monitor quality control.
- Spray paint and sand blast road transport equipment.
- Preparing surfaces for paint application.
- Mix and colour match paints to meet the requirements of the job.
- Brush touch, paint/blend any defective areas of coated items.
- Clean work areas and spray equipment.
- To ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times.
- Full Time Position.
- Monday - Friday / 8:6 Local Role.
- Penalties paid for Overtime.
- ASAP Start!
- Onsite parking.
- $46.83ph + pens after 8 hours per day and 15% loading for nightshift
- Forklift usage
- Trade qualified
- Previous experience with painting or blasting
- Trade qualified
- Knowledge of using hand tools safely.
- Hold Forklift Licence or ability to procure the same.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medicals.
- Have Australian working rights
All shortlisted personnel must be able to attend a face to face interview at our WA office, and pass a full pre-employment medical as well as drug & alcohol testing prior to employment.
