The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a capable and motivated Recruitment Officer to step into a short-term leave cover role based South of the River. This hands-on opportunity runs from Mid July to Mid August and is ideal for someone with a strong background in blue-collar recruitment who can hit the ground running.
You’ll play a key role in supporting high-volume mobilisation projects and ensuring recruitment processes run smoothly during a busy period. This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision. Experience in white-collar recruitment is a bonus, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for a range of blue-collar roles, ensuring timely and accurate placement of candidates
- Assist with high-volume mobilisation of workers across multiple sites and projects
- Coordinate job advertisements, screen applications, and conduct interviews
- Liaise with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide timely recruitment support
- Manage compliance checks, onboarding documentation, and pre-employment requirements
- Maintain and update internal systems and candidate records with a high level of accuracy
- Communicate effectively with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing a positive candidate experience
- Support white-collar recruitment activity as required
- Take initiative to identify process improvements and contribute to a proactive recruitment function
- Proven experience in blue-collar recruitment – essential
- Experience supporting high-volume mobilisation projects
- Exposure to white-collar recruitment – desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of compliance, onboarding, and pre-employment processes
- Available to commence from Mid July to Mid August (fixed-term cover)
