Techforce is partnering with a well-establish organisation operating across complex engineering, industrial and project environments. The business operates across multiple sites and projects where strong safety governance, compliance and effective risk controls are critical.

We are recruiting a WHSE Specialist – Psychosocial Risk Management to join the organisation’s WHSE Governance & Assurance function. The position will suit someone who understands psychosocial risk management and requires the identification of workplace hazards, implementation of effective controls and ongoing monitoring of control effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain the organisation’s psychosocial risk management framework.
  • Facilitate psychosocial hazard identification and risk assessments across operational and corporate workgroups.
  • Develop and maintain psychosocial risk registers, action plans and control measures.
  • Coach and support leaders in identifying and managing psychosocial risks within their teams.
  • Work collaboratively with WHSE, HR, People & Culture, operational leaders, Health and Safety Representatives and employees.
  • Develop and deliver training, workshops and awareness initiatives relating to psychosocial risk, psychological safety and mentally healthy workplaces.
  • Review psychosocial incidents, complaints and hazard reports and contribute to investigations where required.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in WHS, Psychology, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Mental Health or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, assessing and managing psychosocial hazards within a complex organisation.
  • Experience developing, implementing or improving psychosocial risk management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and regulatory requirements relating to psychosocial hazards and psychological health.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating psychosocial risk assessments and developing practical risk controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence operational and corporate leaders.
