About the Opportunity
As a Building Certifier, you'll be responsible for assessing development applications, undertaking building inspections, providing expert technical advice, and ensuring projects meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with builders, developers, consultants, homeowners and internal stakeholders, you'll help deliver practical outcomes while maintaining high standards of compliance, safety and customer service.
No two days are the same—you'll balance technical assessments with site inspections, stakeholder engagement and professional advice across a broad range of exciting developments.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people navigate the building approval process.
You'll bring:
- Building Surveying qualifications (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
- Experience within building certification and construction
- Strong knowledge of Queensland building legislation and the National Construction Code
- The ability to interpret plans and provide practical, solution-focused advice
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- QBCC Building Certifier accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)
- White Card and current driver's license
