We're seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join a well-established remote site team. This is an initial temporary assignment with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The Role As the site's Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment facility, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Operating and monitoring wastewater treatment systems
  • Conducting routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance
  • Monitoring plant performance and responding to operational issues
  • Working closely with maintenance and village teams
  • Supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
About You To be successful, you'll have:
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (or equivalent) – essential
  • Previous experience operating wastewater treatment plants, ideally in mining, industrial or remote environments (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of Australian environmental and safety regulations
  • Current driver's licence (HR licence highly regarded)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
