The ideal candidate will be experienced with:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Disassembling and reassemble heavy equipment components.
- Troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborating with team members to complete complex repair projects.
- Breakdowns and underground maintenance
- Skilled with an extensive range of Mining equipment
- Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
- National Police Clearance (validity dependent on site)
- Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
- High Risk Forklift License (Desirable)
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment. Drills would be ideal
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety.
