Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on drill rigs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
- Complete breakdown repairs in workshop and field environments.
- Conduct component change-outs including engines, pumps, compressors, hydraulics and transmissions.
- Carry out inspections and identify defects before equipment failures occur.
- Complete maintenance reports and work orders accurately.
- Work closely with operations to minimise equipment downtime.
- Adhere to all site safety procedures and company standards.
- Sandvik drill rigs (DP, Pantera, Leopard, Ranger)
- Epiroc / Atlas Copco drill rigs
- Caterpillar MD series drills
- Schramm drill rigs
- UDR, Cubex or other exploration drill rigs
- Pit Viper and D65 drill rigs
- Australian recognised Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter trade qualification.
- Previous experience maintaining mining drill rigs.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
