About the role 
Our client is a well respected national company who operate across a variety of sectors, they are looking for a Trade Assistant who can operate an Excavator.
These roles will be based across Victoria (Barinsdale and Orbost), travel will be required.

Working on a fibre network project as a Trade Assistant you will responsible for the installation of optical fibre cables and marker posts, cutting and repairing of fences, potholing and locating multiple services, and hauling and manual handling of optic fibre cables across multiple projects.
  
Skills and experience required

• Prior experience as a Trade Assistant.
• Experience operating Excavators.
• The ability to work unsupervised with the ability to forward think and plan works throughout your day.

• Current, driver’s licence
• Current Construction Industry Induction white card
• Operator & VOC Excavator
• RII accreditation

• Current, HR Heavy Rigid truck license
• Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling course.
• Locate, identify underground assets certificate
• Current senior first aid certificate
• Current level 2 traffic management implementation coarse
• Work safety at heights.
• Asbestos awareness certificate
• Dogman / Rigger
