The Opportunity

We’re looking for a senior technical leader to guide whole‑of‑platform engineering on a nation‑shaping maritime program. You’ll set the technical direction, bring cross‑functional teams together, and ensure designs are integrated, safe, and ready for service. Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and design authority across multi‑discipline engineering teams
• Drive systems engineering best practice across the lifecycle, ensuring designs are integrated, verified, and fit for purpose
• Lead design governance and reviews, manage risk/issue resolution, and champion safety and certification outcomes
• Oversee configuration/change control and ensure high‑quality engineering plans, processes, and documentation
• Engage confidently with customers, primes, and internal stakeholders to align priorities and clear blockers

• 10+ years in complex systems engineering (maritime/defence/regulated industries ideal) with proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams
• Track record guiding platform‑level integration, assurance, and delivery in high‑consequence environments
• Deep understanding of systems engineering and verification/validation; comfortable with design governance and change control
• Clear communicator who builds trust with executives, customers, and delivery teams
• Degree in Engineering (Chartered/Registered highly regarded)
