The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Leading Hand to join a 12-month long-term road infrastructure project based in the Scenic Rim / Gold Coast region (Tamborine).
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing crews, subcontractors, and civil works including pavements and drainage, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise civil crews and subcontractors on site
- Oversee pavement, drainage, and road construction works
- Plan and coordinate daily and short-term work activities
- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site
- Manage QA, reporting, and site documentation using digital systems
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and stakeholders
- Proven site-based experience in civil construction / roadworks
- Experience leading crews in a Leading Hand or similar role
- Confident using digital site systems (Dashpivot, SiteMate, AssetVision)
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings
- Solid understanding of QA processes and site reporting
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction
- Traffic Management Implementation (TMI)
- Experience with TMR specifications or road infrastructure projects
- Stabilisation or pavement construction experience
- Company vehicle provided
- Monday–Friday roster with stable hours
- Long-term role with potential permanency
- Work on major road infrastructure projects
