Mount Carlton Mine | 8/6 Roster | Brownfields Restart Project
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Surveyor to join the recommencement of mining operations at Mount Carlton, a gold and silver operation located approximately two hours south of Townsville. This is a rare chance to play a key role in a brownfields restart, helping establish safe, efficient and sustainable mining practices from the ground up.
Working on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, you will provide critical survey support to mining operations, technical services and production teams while contributing to the successful restart of the site.

- Conduct mine surveying activities including pit design set-out, drill patterns, haul roads and dumps
- Produce accurate survey pickups, volume calculations and spatial data
- Maintain survey control networks and statutory compliance requirements
- Process survey data and generate plans, models and as-built records
- Collaborate closely with Technical Services and Production teams
- Previous experience as a Surveyor within surface mining operations
- Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Spatial Science or related discipline
- Proficient with GPS, total stations and mine surveying software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
