Project Scheduler | Submarine Sustainment Program

The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented scheduler who thrives on building the plan that makes complex projects succeed? We're looking for a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain the intricate schedules for Australia’s critical submarine sustainment program. You’ll be the essential link between engineering, production, and project management, translating complex technical requirements into a detailed, executable project schedule. If you excel at creating clarity and driving projects forward through meticulous planning, this is your chance to make a tangible impact on Australia’s naval capability.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project schedules for complex submarine maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Identify, analyse, and monitor the project's critical path, proactively highlighting potential risks, delays, and opportunities to the Project Manager.
  • Update and progress the schedule in consultation with technical leads and stakeholders, ensuring it remains an accurate reflection of project status.
  • Prepare and present clear schedule analysis, reports, and trend data to support project decision-making.
  • Act as a key conduit between multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the schedule aligns with resource availability, system dependencies, and project milestones.

About You
  • 3+ years of hands-on project scheduling experience within a complex environment (defence, shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or similar regulated industries).
  • Advanced proficiency with scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 (experience with OPP or MS Project also considered).
  • Strong data handling and analysis skills using MS Excel.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather information and report on progress.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles is highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Department of Defence security clearance.

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive Salary Package: A base salary of $117,000 - $150,000 + Superannuation, dependent on experience.
  • Interstate Relocation Support: A comprehensive relocation package is available for you and your family.
  • Unmatched Work-Life Balance: Enjoy genuine flexibility and up to 10 days of additional leave per year to rest and recharge.
  • Industry-Leading Family Support: Benefit from generous parental leave policies and subsidised childcare.
  • Career Growth & Development: Access professional development opportunities to advance your career within a long-term, nationally significant program.
