An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mining Engineer or Senior Mining Engineer to join the team leading the restart of the Mt Carlton gold and silver operation.

You'll work closely with operational leaders and play a key role in mine planning, scheduling and technical decision-making while contributing to the successful recommencement of mining activities.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will provide technical support across all aspects of mine engineering, including mine planning, design, scheduling, drill and blast activities, budgeting and forecasting. You will work closely with site operations to optimise performance, improve productivity and ensure plans are delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term mine plans
- Complete mine design and production scheduling activities
- Provide drill and blast support to site operations
- Monitor mine performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Prepare and maintain production reporting
- Support operational teams to achieve production targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
- Promote a strong safety culture and commitment to operational excellence
- Degree qualified in Mining Engineering
- Approximately 6-7+ years post-graduate experience within open pit mining
- Current experience as a Mining Engineer or Senior Mining Engineer
- Strong mine planning and scheduling capability
- Experience in hard rock mining environments highly regarded
- Proficient with mine planning software
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
