What your day-to-day will look like
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on underground light vehicles and ancillary equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs
- Conduct inspections, pre-starts, and compliance checks to ensure vehicles are safe for operation
- Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime underground
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report defects or safety issues
- Work in accordance with all site safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Previous experience working as an LV Fitter or Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Trade qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical (or equivalent)
- Ideally previous underground mining experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to meet site access requirements including medical, DAS, NPC, and valid manual driver's licence
- Experience working in mining or FIFO environments (desirable)
