This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings strong technical capability, proven mining experience, and the ability to lead, support, and develop a crew in a fast-paced production environment. You will take ownership of day-to-day maintenance activities while ensuring equipment availability, reliability, and safety standards are consistently met across site operations.
The operation features a range of heavy mobile equipment, including Komatsu 1500 Dump Trucks, D10 Dozers, 16M Graders, Hitachi EX3600 Excavators, and Liebherr 9200 & 9300 Excavators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of HD Fitters in day-to-day maintenance activities
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritise maintenance and repair work on mobile plant equipment
- Carry out hands-on diagnostics, fault finding, servicing, and repairs as required
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to site standards
- Support shutdowns, breakdowns, and scheduled maintenance events
- Monitor equipment condition and provide feedback to improve reliability and performance
- Ensure compliance with site safety systems, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Mentor and support team members to build capability and performance
- Liaise with supervisors, planners, and operations teams to ensure smooth production flow
- HR driver’s licence (desirable)
- Relevant Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualification
- Previous mine site experience as a Leading Hand HD Fitter
- Experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment (Komatsu, CAT, etc.)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of motivation and initiative
- Strong understanding of Work Health & Safety systems and procedures
