The Opportunity
Are you a driven HSEQ professional ready to take ownership of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance on a key mining project? We’re seeking a proactive HSEQ Manager to join a dynamic team on a 2:2 FIFO roster, supporting the delivery of high-performance outcomes while ensuring compliance with all HSEQ obligations on site. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple operational areas, working closely with project leadership.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote HSEQ support across operations.
  • Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Conduct and lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and completed.
  • Support the delivery of training and toolbox talks to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all HSEQ legislation, standards, and client expectations.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure accurate reporting of HSEQ performance.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, including JHAs and SWMS.
  • Support environmental management and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all HSEQ areas.
  
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in WHS, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2–3+ years' experience in a similar HSEQ position, ideally within mining or heavy industry.
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation and relevant ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experienced in audits, investigations, and HSEQ reporting systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSEQ platforms/software.
Highly Regarded:
  • ICAM or TapRoot investigation training.
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
  • Background in underground mining or tunnelling environments.
