The Experience

We’re interested in HSE professionals with hands-on experience across open pit mining and production, including:
  • Open pit mining operations
  • Load & haul
  • Drill & blast
  • Mobile mining equipment
  • Crushing and screening
  • Processing and fixed plant
  • Mine infrastructure and operational support
  • Mining contractor environments
  • Shutdowns and maintenance
  • HSE systems, compliance and continuous improvement
You’ll be someone who is comfortable working alongside frontline production crews, supervisors and operational leaders, providing practical HSE support and helping drive a strong safety culture across site.

What You'll Bring

To be considered, you will ideally have:
  • Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent
  • 3+ years' HSE experience in open pit mining / production
  • Strong understanding of mining HSE legislation, standards and site requirements
  • Experience with risk assessments, JHAs/JSEAs, inspections and audits
  • Incident investigation and reporting experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and confidently in a site-based environment
  • Current Australian working rights
Additional Skills We Like

Depending on the opportunity, the following will be highly regarded:
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
  • VOC and competency assessment experience
  • Previous training or operational mining experience
  • Drill & blast exposure
  • Load & haul experience
  • Mobile plant and heavy equipment exposure
  • Crushing, screening or processing experience
  • Contractor management
  • HSE management systems and implementation
  • Auditing, reporting and compliance
