The Opportunity:

Are you a fleet professional with a deep understanding of the vehicle industry and a passion for optimizing large, diverse asset portfolios? Working in partnership with our client, a national leader in the infrastructure and essential services sector, we are seeking an experienced Fleet Coordinator to join their Group Supply Chain function.

This is a pivotal role supporting the lifecycle management of one of Australia's largest mobile fleets. You will play a key part in major projects, including a significant Light Vehicle (LV) Modernisation Program, ensuring the fleet is compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with operational needs. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and excel at managing vehicles, from utes and trucks to heavy plant, this is an excellent opportunity to make your mark.

This role is offered on an initial contract basis until March 2026, based in the Cremorne area with hybrid work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute the acquisition, replacement, and disposal of a wide range of fleet assets, including light vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Support major fleet projects, including a large-scale LV modernisation program, by managing vehicle orders, specifications, and build requirements.
  • Manage the fleet portfolio to maximize asset utilization, identify opportunities for sharing, and minimize idle plant across various projects.
  • Ensure all fleet assets adhere to strict safety, regulatory, and statutory compliance standards (e.g., weight regulations, build specifications).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, project teams, and external suppliers to provide expert advice and ensure optimal fleet outcomes.
  • Support effective and efficient fleet maintenance and administration processes, contributing to overall performance optimization.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience in the vehicle or fleet industry is essential (e.g., from a dealership, fleet leasing, or asset management background).
  • A strong, practical knowledge of vehicle regulations, build specifications, and compliance standards for utes, trucks, and other fleet items.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and alternative solutions.
  • An adaptive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage varying project requirements while adhering to core processes.
  • Experience with procurement processes, contract management, and major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
What's on Offer:
  • Competitive Hourly Rate: A rate of circa $50/hr + Superannuation.
  • Hybrid Work Model: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onboarding period.
  • Key Role on Major Projects: Play an integral part in high-profile fleet initiatives, including a major LV modernisation project.
  • Long-Term Contract: A stable contract role until at least March 2026 with a leading national company.
