The Role As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs across a range of mobile mining equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Complete electrical inspections, testing and troubleshooting.
- Install, repair and maintain electrical components, wiring and systems.
- Work on mining trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders and ancillary equipment.
- Maintain and repair site support equipment, including lighting towers and generators.
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Carry out pre-start inspections and report defects.
- Complete maintenance records and job cards accurately.
- Work safely in accordance with site procedures and mining regulations.
- Work closely with mechanical trades and the wider maintenance team.
- Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Previous experience in mining or heavy mobile equipment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on heavy mobile plant and mining equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and site procedures.
- Current Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a mining medical and drug & alcohol screening.
