Techforce is partnering with a well-established electrical engineering and project delivery business that supports clients across the mining, heavy industrial and infrastructure sectors.

We are recruiting an Engineering Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on team management, operational oversight, safety, quality, and project delivery. You will play a key role in leading the engineering function, coordinating resources, improving standards, and supporting the successful delivery of complex electrical and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Oversee engineering and operational activities across office, workshop and assembly environments.
  • Coordinate resources, workflow and priorities to ensure projects are delivered on time and to required standards.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on operational matters, investigations, planning and delivery outcomes.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, inspections, mentoring and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address gaps in processes, quality, safety or team performance.
  • Support the ongoing development of engineering systems, procedures and technical best practice.
  • Contribute to project planning, contingency planning and problem solving to keep delivery on track.
  • Mentor and develop team capability across engineering and technical functions.
The Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or an Electrical Trade Licence / Trade Certificate with relevant operational and workshop experience.
  • Proven experience in an engineering leadership, operations, or project delivery role.
  • Strong background in electrical, industrial, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams across engineering, workshop and/or site operations.
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, quality and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
