Our client is a leading contractor with projects throughout Australia. With a modern fleet of specialised drilling equipment and a strong commitment to safety, they continue to expand their operations and are seeking experienced Drill Rig Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join their team.
The Opportunity:
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking experienced Drill Rig Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics.
Working on a 2:2 roster, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fault-finding of a diverse fleet of drilling and support equipment, ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations across site.

- Multi-Purpose Drilling Rigs
- Schramm 685 Drilling Rigs
- Fury 130 Remote Operated Rigs
- Dual Rotary, RC & Conventional Drilling Rigs
- CAT Engines
- Sullair Compressors
- Boosters & Pumps
- Support Trucks & Light Vehicles
- $75 - $80 Per Hour
- 2:2 FIFO Roster
- FIFO flights and site accommodation provided
- Long-term project stability
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Diesel Fitting, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across heavy mobile plant and diesel equipment
- Current HR Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Previous experience working on exploration, mining or water well drilling rigs
- Experience maintaining CAT engines, Sullair compressors, hydraulic systems, pumps and boosters
- Previous experience supporting remote drilling operations
- PLC diagnostics, fault finding and maintenance experience
