The Role As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of heavy mining equipment to ensure maximum reliability and performance across site operations.

Equipment includes:
  • Sandvik DR410i, DI650i and DP1500/1600 drills.
  • CAT 6060 shovels.
  • Komatsu PC1250 excavators.
  • Liebherr 9600, 9400 and 9200 excavators.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
  • Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs.
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing breakdown maintenance.
  • Identifying and replacing faulty components.
  • Ensuring all maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Following site safety procedures and maintenance standards.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipment.
  • Experience with Sandvik drills, Liebherr excavators or CAT shovels highly desirable.
  • A valid Australian driver's licence.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
