This role will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of major projects, including contract administration, variations, claims, subcontractor negotiations, commercial risk and project reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
- Administer contracts and subcontract agreements.
- Manage variations, claims, notices and contractual correspondence.
- Monitor project costs, commitments and commercial performance.
- Support procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
- Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance.
- Identify and manage commercial risks.
- Work with project and construction teams to resolve commercial issues.
- Prepare commercial reports and forecasts.
- Support project budgeting and cost control.
- Manage contractual interfaces between clients, contractors and subcontractors.
- Assist with dispute avoidance and resolution.
- Provide commercial advice to project leadership.
- Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or similar.
- Strong major construction or infrastructure project experience.
- Strong contract administration and commercial management background.
- Experience managing variations, claims and subcontractors.
- Experience across telecommunications, infrastructure, construction, energy, mining, marine or heavy industrial projects highly regarded.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of commercial and contractual risk.
