The Opportunity:
Lead the transformation of long-offline properties into modern, livable homes through comprehensive refurbishment. Steer end-to-end project delivery with autonomy, managing trades, timelines, and resources while driving safety excellence. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage the day-to-day running of the OCP project, overseeing all resources, plant, and materials.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors and the Project Coordinator to ensure smooth operations and balanced workload distribution.
- Trade Coordination: Coordinate labour needs, utilization, and removal for all trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters).
- Timeline & Safety: Ensure projects are completed safely and within designated timeframes.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting: Track progress across all properties, identify risks of delays, and provide regular updates to the client, Housing Superintendent, and team.
- Material Management: Ensure properties stay on track, materials are ordered, and stock levels are maintained.
- Scope & Variations: Submit scope variations and track their impact on timelines and schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Oversee risk assessments (JHAs, Take 5s), complete required Field Leaderships, and ensure timely reporting of all hazards, incidents, and events.
- Team Training & Communication: Conduct site inductions and training for new starters, maintain team rapport, gather feedback, and address concerns.
- Budget & Resource Support: Work with admin to track project budget, resource needs, and overall completion timeline.
- KPI Achievement: Meet all required monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
About You / Requirements:
- Essential Certs: Valid Section 26 Statutory Supervisor Modules, Current Basic Fire Training, Current Working at Heights.
- Trade Background: Trade Certificate OR significant experience working directly with trades
- Proven Experience: Supervising projects & managing multiple trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters).
- Tech Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (role is ~30% office-based).
- Core Skills: Exceptional organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication (verbal/written).
- Personal Attributes: Positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and strong team collaboration skills.
