Senior Civil Designer | Brisbane

• Approximately six-month contract, working 40 hours per week

Techforce Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join a leading engineering and construction organisation supporting a major resources project.
Based in Brisbane, you will plan, develop and review civil design work, producing high-quality 3D models, drawings and documentation. This opportunity suits a designer with strong MicroStation and OpenRoads experience who enjoys technical coordination and mentoring others.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing civil designs for earthworks, roads and drainage structures.
• Producing 3D models, drawings, documentation and quantity take-offs for estimating.
• Preparing design estimates and work plans aligned with project scope, schedules and budgets.
• Reviewing and checking drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinating design activities with engineers, designers, drafters and other project disciplines.
• Liaising with client representatives, suppliers and third parties to resolve technical issues and support approvals.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to civil designers and drafters.

About you
To be successful, you will bring:

• Approximately 12-14 years of relevant civil design and drafting experience.
• Extensive proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads.
• Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, roads and drainage design.
• Experience reviewing design deliverables and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs.
• The ability to communicate complex technical matters and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver against project schedules.

• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Duration: Approximately 26 weeks, based on allocated project hours
• Hours: 40 hours per week, eight hours per day
• Working arrangements: Partial telework available, with details to be confirmed
