Offering $85–$90 per hour casual, FIFO from Perth and a 2:1 roster, this is a great opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment within an established maintenance team.

There is also the opportunity to remain casual with us or transition to a full-time contract directly with the client after six months, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus when signing a full-time contract (T&Cs apply).

The Role As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing electrical systems across a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment, helping ensure maximum reliability, safety and operational performance.

Equipment includes:
  • CAT 785 and Komatsu 830E haul trucks.
  • Liebherr 9400 and Komatsu PC1250 excavators.
  • Sandvik and Epiroc drills.
  • CAT D10 dozers.
  • CAT 16M graders.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
  • Diagnosing electrical faults and completing troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Conducting inspections, testing and adjustments on heavy mobile plant.
  • Maintaining electrical systems and components to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Completing breakdown repairs and replacing faulty components.
  • Following site safety procedures and maintenance standards.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or an equivalent Australian-recognised trade qualification.
  • Experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Epiroc or similar equipment.
  • A current air-conditioning ticket.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A current HR driver's licence (desirable).
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
